T-Mobile Customers Now Unofficially Have Free Unlimited Internet Data
November 30, 2006 · Print This Article

Maybe we’re slapping ourselves by posting about this, but this development is too cool not to talk about. Members over at HowardForums are reporting that they are receiving unrestricted internet data use via the $5.99 T-zones plan, and many users are also saying that they’re also getting unrestricted data with no data plan at all attached to their account. So basically it seems as if T-mobile has temporarily pulled off all of their proxy restrictions, effectively allowing customers to have a data plan comparable to their $29.99 unlimited internet plan.
Is this too good to be true? Will it last? There are all sorts of conspiracy theories running around for as to why this might be happening. Some people think that that this is T-mobile’s way of tricking people in to removing their $29.99 unlimited data plan, and that then T-mobile will suddenly get rid of this freebie, and anyone who wants to add on the unlimited internet feature again will be encountered with a new higher rate. This scenario doesn’t sound totally crazy. For now, I’m keeping my $29.99 internet plan on my account. But for all you other freebie grabbers, enjoy it while it lasts, and we certainly hope it does.
