Disney Mix Max Personal Media Player Reviewed
October 31, 2006
Cnet has a video review of the Disney Mix Max player. The $100 personal media player comes with 512mb of internal memory that can be expanded with up to 2GB via secure digital cards. The player is also available in 4 colors - including pink and blue, it has a 2.2 inch screen that is capable of playing videos at 30FPS, and it can also play Mp3 files. Battery life is pretty good at about 3 hours for video playback and 27 for audio playback. And in case you’re afraid to give this to a really little kid because you fear that he or she might not be able to figure out how to transfer content on to it, there are plenty of Disney Max Clips available to purchase which are memory cards with preloaded videos and movies. However, chances are that kids will figure out how to use this PMP quicker
than most adults. Overall, Cnet gave the Disney Mix Max player a good rating of 6.7, and for just $100 we think many kids will be able to convince their parents to get them one.
On a side note, is that a pic of Hillary Duff and Aaron Carter? Umm, that is like so 2003. Disney needs some serious help marketing their gadgets.

New Hello Kitty Gadgets Galore
October 31, 2006

It’s a good day for Hello Kitty lovers. We’ve discovered that
DreamKitty.com has a whole bunch of Hello Kitty gadgetry goodness that is hard
to come by in the U.S. For example, they have a selection of Hello Kitty Secure
Digital Cards, USB Drives, a Hello Kitty Mp3 Player, Hello Kitty Head Phones,
and a Hello Kitty Cell Phone. Unfortunately, it is beyond my comprehension for as to why
anyone would spend $104.99 on a 512mb USB key that should really cost
$15.
Update: Here is a link to a review of the Hello Kitty Mp3 Player that is available at DreamKitty.com. (Thanks to whom ever sent this in).

Delicious shape. These Apple Speakers are available wholesale for $4.70

TeleNav’s GPS Navigator Service Now Available for Cingular Customers
October 29, 2006

I’ve learned from experience that the cliche that women aren’t afraid to ask for directions is often not true. Then again, some times it’s also inconvenient to have to stop and ask for help. That is why GPS is ever so popular - unfortunately not everyone is willing to jump on the GPS bandwagon because it can be pricey. TeleNav’s GPS Navigator is a service that provides real-time voice and on-screen navigation with out having to own a GPS navigation system. Until now, TeleNav’s GPS Navigator’s service was only available for lucky Sprint, Boost Mobile and SouthernLINCD wireless customers, but the service has finally launched on a GSM carrier - Cingular. We’ve briefly tried the service and were very impressed. The service includes voice and on screen turn-by-turn directions, full-color moving maps, a business finder for ATMs, restaurants, hotels, etc, and a fuel finder. TeleNav’s GPS Navigator also has a neat pedestrian mode to help guide you when you’re on foot, and it has a spot marker feature that will help you find your parked car (can’t tell you how many times i have forgotten where I parked in a large mall marking lot). The service costs $9.99 per month for unlimited use which is practically a bargain compared to the cost of buying a GPS navigation system. Now if only they would bring this service to T-mobile, I’ll never have to damage my pride and ask for directions again!
