PaneLock Security System Locks your Plasma to the Wall

August 30, 2006

Panelock
We have locks to keep our pricey notebooks safe, so it seems only sensible
that we should have some way to secure our big expensive Plasmas as well. The
PaneLock Security System is made up of
integrated theft-resistant clips that latch the mounting bracket arms to the
rods on the wall plate. A security screw then locks the pieces in place.
So the only way for someone to get your
display off of the wall is with the special security screw. It’s either that or take the whole wall with
them. Either way, for $9.99, this is a solid investment. However the PaneLock Security System is only available for
certain CTM and PCM Series Mounts from Premier Mounts. (Source:

HANNSpotto LCD TV is Available in Pink?

August 29, 2006

Potto
We might be jumping the gun, but based on several photos on Hannspree’s site, the Potto TV sure looks like it comes in the color pink. Putting that possibility aside, the Potto is a pretty standard 15 inch LCD TV with a 1024×768 resolution, and a 500:1 contrast ratio. It also has a very simple, yet modern design going for it. But does it come in pink? We’re still not sure, because when you head over to their store page, the Potto has different photos in which it appears to be something closer to a dark grey. And its description says that it is made of fields of aubergine, silver, cocoa and black.

Perhaps it comes in pink as well? We hope so, since for some time now, the pink lovers amongst us have been searching for a pink TV that doesn’t look like it was made for Barbie. The HANNSpotto retails for $599.

Logisys Ergonomic Cool Fan Mouse with Glowing LEDs

August 28, 2006

Logimouse
These gaming mice don’t just look cool - they feel cool. The Logisys Ergonomic Cool Fan Mouse has been ergonomically designed to have cool air circulating through the very unusual holes and shutters placed through out its body. Other than that, its a pretty standard wired optical mouse with 800 dpi - which should meet the requirements for gamers. But even if you aren’t a gamer, the combination of great looks, neat glowing led lights, and great ergonomics, will make you want one. And the Logisys Ergonomic Cool Fan Mouse is even available in 4 colors, including black, red, silver and blue. These mice can be found online for a mere $7.49 at NewEgg. Unfortunately, that price seemed to be good to true, so we did a little Google research and discovered that TechGage reviewed the Logisys Ergonomic Cool Fan Mouse and gave it a pretty sad score of 4 out of 10. But perhaps for $7.49 you’ll be willing to decide how good or bad it is for yourself?

Philips GoGear SA13335 & SA1110 Flash DAPs

August 28, 2006

Gogears
Another day, another set of new unextraodinary digital audio players show up. The first is Philips’s GoGear 1GB SA1110 (left) which has a back-lit LCD Display, plays Mp3 & WMA files, has voice recording capabilities, 4 equalizer presets, and it runs off of an AAA battery. It’s more attractive sibling, the 1gig GoGear SA13335 has similar features except that it also has an FM tuner, a built-in rechargable battery, and it also supports PlaysForSure services such as Napster and Urge. But most impressive of all is it’s shiny and elegant mirror surface with its 2 color OLED display that displays a clock screen saver.
We don’t get you Philips. You have some decent flash music players here, well the SA13335 is kinda hot, but if we hadn’t visited your web site, we would have never known they existed. Depite it’s lack of a display, the iPod Shuffle was a hit, all because of the power of great PR. Take some cues!
