Yahoo to begin giving 1GB of storage with each free E-mail Account
Yahoo has evidently caved into peer pressure from Gmail’s popularity. They announced today that they will begin to offer 1gb of storage with their free e-mail
accounts. According to ZDNet
news, it’ll take 2 weeks to implement the extra storage in all current
user’s accounts. They’re also going to offer antivirus scanning using
Symantec’s Norton Antivirus. It looks like Hotmail is going to lag behind Yahoo
and Gmail with it’s current offering of only 250mb. Personally I find Hotmail
to be very slow and its spam filtering to be very ineffective.
Anyway, let the free-e-mail-services-war rage on!
