110520042042341Here are some great clips of the upcoming PSP. I’m really blown away by the quality of the games, they seem to be on the level of the current Xbox games. It totally blows away Gameboy Advance games. Nintendo better watch out!

My Yahoo, custom RSS feeds right in your browser

September 19, 2004

Rss_preview2For a while now I’ve been searching for a good app for RSS feeds. I’ve been mostly frusterated by the programs I’ve tried. They’ve either been poorly structured or just to complicated to use. When I logged into my.yahoo.com page recently I noticed a new feature they’ve added to their list of things you can customize under your account. They already gave you a great assortment of things to put on your Yahoo! home page such as tv listings, Local weather, news, etc. Now you can also put your own selection of RSS feeds and blogs on your my yahoo! page. Everytime you log onto your page you get the titles and optionally - the first few lines of the latest postings from your favorite feeds. It works very well and you can also customize the order of the blogs and its really… Dear I say it - quite efficient. It’s also addictive. I’ve made it my home page and I go back to it and check it all the time. It’s a shame I don’t use my Yahoo email account, because I love this setup. Oh and yeah, did I mention that it’s free! They charge for some extras but you probaly won’t need them

Motorola v80 - A head turner

September 12, 2004

L111919In general I’ve never liked Motorola phones much. However I got the oppurtunity to play around with the V80, and wow it actually makes me admire Motorola. I’ve never seen a phone like it. It has a unique design plus a cool feature - changing color lights when the phone rings. The color screen is awesome, one of the best I’ve seen. Plus, the phone is pretty light to. It also sports some good features like a Camera with Digital Zoom and a great speakerphone. I was also impressed with the Bluetooth headset that it came with which retails for about $79. If your in the market for a stylish phone which will turn heads then take a look at the v80. Infosyncworld has a good review of it here.

Rio Carbon, the Mini Ipod Killer is on Sale!

September 1, 2004

PicturelimitededitionIf I didn’t have a Mini Ipod already I’d run out and get this. Before I got my Mini Ipod for free from FreeIpods.com, I had a Rio Nitrus. The Rio Carbon is the sexier successor to the Rio Nitrus. It has 5 gigs, as opposed to the Mini Ipod’s 4… and it also puts the Ipod’s 8-10 Hour battery Life to shame with a whopping 20 hours of batter life! On top of that, its also smaller and lighter then the mini ipod, and the mini ipod is pretty small. The Rio Carbon is available for Preorder as a special edition from Digital Network Usa’s web site , and other sites lke Amazon.com also have them for preorder. Expected shipping date is September 3rd.

P. Diddy gets Diamond Crusted Ipod

September 1, 2004

6326656122265312P. Diddy picked up a custom made, Diamond encrusted Ipod at the MTV music Awards. Is it just me or does that make you nauseous? The guy is a Millionaire who recently had to be sued by his son’s mother to pay more child support to his kid becuase he was paying a paltry amount.  Basically he was spending more money on one of his cars then on how much he gave to his son each year. In other words he is loaded. So They really needed to give him a diamond ipod? I understand its publicity and all, but how about doing something more thoughtful like giving out a bunch of ipods to some underprivilaged kids and atleast making some publicity of that?
It pisses me off when companies invite celebrities to "launch parties" where the celebraties get an expensive piece of tech for free - before all us "regular" folk are even able to purchase one. The recent Motorola A630 party in New York, and the Sidekick II party in L.A. are prime examples of that. These people are so rich as it is, you need to give them expensive stuff for free? I just don’t understand this system. When I see a picture of Lindsey Lohan holding one of the 6 Sidekicks she took home for free from that party, all I think is "Damn that’s just irritating". Especially when I can’t even buy one yet! Ofcourse my anger stems from jealousy, but really what exactly makes them better then us?
So here’s my question… does seeing a celebrity with a piece of tech really influence you to buy it?
